Anirudh Das displayed a keen interest in music at an early age and started piano lessons with Ms. Jennifer Premkumar at the age of 6, later continuing his studies with Mr. Samuel Vijaykumar. While at Bishop Cotton Boys’ School, he served as Music Captain of Thomas House and was a part of the School Choir and School Band from 1999 to 2010. He also won the award for ‘Best Instrumental Soloist’ at Cottons ‘nxs’ Inter-School Music Competition in 2008. In 2010, he began studying with Ms. Miracle Ward at St. Marks Music Academy and completed his Grade 8 in Piano from ABRSM in 2014.
While pursuing his B.E. in Electronics & Communications Engineering, he began teaching piano privately and took guitar lessons from Mr. Thampi Veeramoni. After a short stint at IBM, he joined THEME Music Institute in 2015 as a full time Faculty in Piano and obtained his Diploma in Teaching under the guidance of Mr. Ashwin Prabhakaran.
Continuing his advanced piano studies with Belarusian Concert Pianist & Professor Mrs. Natallia Kapylova, he won the ‘Adjudicator Advanced Special Mention Award’ at MusiQuest 2015, a National Piano Competition held in Pune.
In 2016, he obtained his Licentiate in Piano Performance (LLCM) and Diploma in Teaching (DipLCM(TD)) from the London College of Music. He was chosen to perform at the LCM High Achievers Concert for scoring the highest marks in the state for the Diploma category and at the Young Performer Concert Series organized by the Majolly Music Trust.

He has performed with a number of bands at popular venues in the city like Taj, Lalit Ashok, B-Flat, Church Street Social and has played piano & guitars for various commercials, jingles and online collaborations. He has also recorded for numerous projects in the Kannada Film Industry and has worked with Music Director Sagar Gururaj on songs that were rendered by renowned singers Mr. Sonu Nigam & Mr. Vijay Prakash.
His students have been awarded High Achiever Trophies, KAWAI Rolling Trophies for Best Pianist and have also been active Participants and Gold Medal Winners in National Piano Competitions such as MusiQuest and National KAWAI Junior Piano Competition. He also guides and mentors budding musicians to build active careers in Music Education as well as in the Advertising, Film, Entertainment and Live Music Performance Industries. He regularly adjudicates Inter-School & Inter-College Music Competitions and is a much in demand accompanist for Instrumental & Vocal Exams, having accompanied students of all grades and diploma levels.
Anirudh currently teaches in his own music establishment 'Academy Musicorum', in Bangalore. The Academy provides online as well as offline classes to students of all age groups from all over the world, preparing them for Examinations conducted by the London College of Music (LCM) and Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) His YouTube channel features more than a hundred piano covers from different genres which have garnered over a million views.
Apart from teaching and playing the Piano, Anirudh also enjoys playing the Guitar, Photography, Origami, Kirigami, building Dioramas, Clay Sculpting, Carpentry, Dissectology, Cooking and Aquascaping.
